Healthy and Delicious – Creamy Leek Tart

I find that the main reasons my clients ‘fall off the wagon’ is that they don’t plan properly or they eat the same thing over and over and then they get bored and crave something they shouldn’t eat. Pizza is something that most people miss when they start making healthier choices especially if they are eating lower carb and gluten-free.However, it is possible to make healthy versions of old favorites.
While I tend not to indulge in pizza, I do miss it on occasion and am always looking for gluten-free and dairy-free options. I recently found the website site www.realhealthyrecipes.com and there are so many healthy options on this website including various pizza recipes. There was recipe for French Onion pizza that I put my own spin on and turned it into a Creamy Leek Tart. Check out my recipe and the original and see which one piques your fancy! I did have to cook the crust longer than the original recipe instructed to get the crunch I was looking for.
The tart could be served with a salad for a light dinner for 3-4 or as an appetizer along with other tapas style dishes.
